“International Mother Language Day” at Manas University
On February 14, 2024, a scientific and cultural event titled “World of Language and Literature” took place at the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University's Kasym Tynystanov Conference Hall. The event was organized by the Department of Philology of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and the Faculty of European Civilizations of Bishkek State University named after K. Karasaev on the occasion of “International Mother Language Day”.
The event was attended by Deputy Rector of Bishkek State University named after K. Karasaev Uzakbai Kozuev; Dean of the Faculty of Humanities of KTMU Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Aşık; Vice Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halit Ashlar; Head of the Department of Philology, Prof. Dr. Burul Sagynbaeva; Head of the Department of Turkology, Prof. Dr. Ozan Yılmaz, as well as academics and students from both universities.
The opening speech of the event, consisting of cultural and scientific papers, was delivered by Deputy Rector Uzakbai Kozuev. He emphasized the importance of preserving and developing the native language, expressing pleasure that two universities collaborated in organizing the event. Deputy Rector Uzakbai Kozuev concluded his speech by thanking the Manas University family.
