Speaking at the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Aşık highlighted the role of language as a fundamental tool in the development of civilization, culture, customs and traditions, emphasizing its significance in cultural and scientific development. Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Aşık stated that cultural diversity and scientific progress are directly proportional to the richness and interaction of language. He also mentioned, “This special day, recognized by UNESCO as International Mother Language Day, holds a unique meaning to remind us of the importance of the mother tongue.” Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Aşık underlined that events like these aim to teach students the value of their mother tongue.

In the cultural part of the event, students from the Faculty of Humanities of Manas University created a colorful and lively atmosphere in the hall, celebrating Language Day in various world languages. The event continued with the scientific paper section. Prof. Dr. Burul Sagynbaeva, Head of the Department of Philology of KTMU, who chaired the panel, drew attention to the significance of the day and expressed satisfaction with holding such events at Manas University. In the scientific paper section, academicians from KTMU and Bishkek State University named after K. Karasaev presented on various topics.

At the end of the event, speakers were presented with certificates of participation. The success of this valuable event marked an important step in raising awareness of the importance of language and literature.
