The seminar on "Effective Control Methods in Bee Diseases and Requirements for Export" was organized by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The event took place at the Kasym Tynystanov Conference Hall and brought together prominent figures in the sector.
The seminar had the participation of Manas University's Rector, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan; Director of Kyrgyz Livestock and Pasture Research Institute Prof. Dr. Zhanybek Kerimaliev; President of Kyrgyzstan Beekeepers Chamber Sultanbek Abbasov; President of “At Bashi White Honey” Federation Rahat Toktaliev, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Prof. Dr. İsmail Şen, 130 beekeepers from various regions of Kyrgyzstan, academicians, and students.
In his opening speech, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Prof. Dr. İsmail Şen stated that agriculture is a crucial sector in Kyrgyzstan and mentioned, "KTMU stands out with its activities for society. While contributing to the livestock sector, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine will take important steps to increase the production of quality honey." Prof. Dr. İsmail Şen emphasized that the workshop's report would be shared with society, shedding light on future studies on beekeeping.
Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan highlighted the seminar's importance, stating, "This workshop held today is very valuable for all of us. We will share the workshop results with our Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Zhaparov." "Kyrgyzstan is the country that produces the highest quality honey in the world. Our university will take important steps to increase this quality and add value to the beekeeping sector."
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ulash Acaroz, who conducted the seminar, provided detailed information about bee diseases and methods of combating these diseases, also addressing questions from the participants.
At the evaluation meeting held after the end of the seminar, an intense exchange of ideas was held among the participants on the current problems encountered in the beekeeping sector and solutions to these problems.
