KTMU Hosted a Seminar on Ecotourism and Sustainability
On March 20, 2024, the seminar on "Ecotourism and Sustainability," organized by the KTMU Continuing Education Center garnered significant interest from academicians and students.
Head of the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Murat Kızanlıklı provided valuable information to the participants at the seminar. Delivering the opening speech, Head of the Continuing Education Center, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkan Efilti emphasized that the event focused on the theme of ecotourism and sustainability, which are important dimensions of tourism in Kyrgyzstan. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkan Efilti stated that the seminar was organized to raise awareness in the field of tourism and to develop cooperation.
During the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Murat Kızanlıklı emphasized the importance of each individual traveling as a conscious and responsible eco-tourist and informed the participants about ways to travel without harming nature. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Murat Kızanlıklı pointed out that ecotourism plays a critical role in terms of sustainability.
Within the scope of the seminar, it was underlined that organizing such events is of great importance in ensuring continuity in education and raising awareness among the participants.
