On April 4, 2024, the Faculty of Fine Arts of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) organized an exhibition titled the “Ebru Exhibition” at the Kurmancan Datka Art Gallery. Coordinated by Dr. Aysuluu Koponova, a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts and organized by students from the Department of Painting and Graphics, this impressive exhibition offered both students and visitors a new perspective on the world of art.

Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan along with the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Chagatai Akengin, academicians, and students participated in the exhibition. The artworks showcased at the exhibition were created with great care by talented students, who skillfully employed the movements and reflections on the water's surface.

During the opening speech of the exhibition, Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized the importance of preserving cultural roots, stating, “Depriving a nation of its roots is equivalent to depriving it of its essence. In order to preserve our essence, we must pass on our culture, art, and language to future generations.” He also highlighted the Faculty of Fine Arts significant contributions to the integration of art and culture and expressed gratitude to the faculty community.

Prof. Dr. Chagatai Akengin, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, provided a historical overview of marbling art before the exhibition and stressed the importance of preserving this art form, which is at risk of being forgotten. He described the exhibition as a crucial step towards keeping this art alive.
