Seminar on Safety in Emergency Situations Held at Manas University
On May 16, 2024, the seminar on “Safety in Emergency Situations” was held for the students of the Faculty of Engineering of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University. The seminar was conducted by rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and first aid workers from the National Red Crescent Society of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The seminar was attended by members of the Rescue Team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek, including Rysbai Omurbekov, Urmat Zamir uulu, and Daniyar Sharshiev. Additionally, the Director of the First Aid Service of the National Red Crescent Society of the Kyrgyz Republic Madjit Timudzhaev, Aigul Zhetigenova, Sultan Musabaev, and trainers were present. From the university, attendees included the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurzat Totubaeva, the Head of the Department of Food Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anarseyit Deydiyev, Dr. Aygul Usubalieva, Dr. Aibek Bodoshov, and students.
During the seminar, topics such as safety in emergency situations, first aid, actions to eliminate the consequences of emergencies, prevention of various situations, and humanitarian and social assistance were discussed in detail.
Head of the Department of Food Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anarseyit Deydiyev emphasized: “There are various changes in the world, such as environmental and climate changes. In Kyrgyzstan, there were floods and earthquakes this spring. There may be other emergencies, so we decided to organize this seminar.”
Member of the Rescue Team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Rysbai Omurbekov introduced the activities of the organization and provided information about the challenges faced and the measures taken. Director of the First Aid Service of the National Red Crescent Society of the Kyrgyz Republic Madjit Timudzhaev presented detailed information about the activities of the Red Crescent, expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, and thanked the university for the invitation.
