The International Congress on Eurasian Economies was hosted by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University on June 26-27, 2024, at the Kasym Tynystanov Conference Hall. The congress attracted attention as an important platform that strengthens the unity and solidarity of the Turkic world.
The event was attended by Rector of Manas University, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan; Rector of Istanbul Beykent University, Prof. Dr. Volkan Öngel; Rector of Doğuş University, Prof. Dr. Turgut Özkan; Vice Rector of Manas University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov; Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Advisor to the Rector, Prof. Dr. Serhat Burmaoğlu; and leading academic figures from various higher education institutions such as Beykent University, Doğuş University, Izmir Bakırçay University, and academicians from Manas University.
The congress commenced with speeches by Prof. Dr. Selahattin Sarı, former Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Manas University and currently a faculty member at Doğuş University, who provided insightful information on the congress's objectives and significance.
In the opening session of the congress, speeches were delivered by Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan from Manas University, Prof. Dr. Volkan Öngel from Istanbul Beykent University, and Prof. Dr. Turgut Özkan from Doğuş University. During the opening session, Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized Manas University's pivotal role as a bridge to the Turkic world. He underscored the importance of the quality of scientific endeavors, stating, “The content of the information provided is more crucial than the number of congresses hosted.”
In the opening panel moderated by Prof. Dr. Selahattin Sarı from Doğuş University, participants included Dr. Heyko Fritz from Sweden's Linnaeus University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sezer Kahyaoğlu from Izmir Bakırçay University, Assist. Prof. Dr. Raziahan Abdieva, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Junus Ganiev from Manas University.
Over the two-day event, participants presented on diverse topics including “Environmental Economics,” “Regional Economy,” “Finance,” “Health and Agriculture,” “Development,” and “Sectoral Analysis.” The congress facilitated valuable discussions and enhanced cooperation opportunities within the Turkic world's economic landscape.
