A Warm Farewell to General Secretary, Prof. Dr. Oktay Özgül
On October 9, 2024, during the first Senate meeting of the 2024-2025 academic year, a farewell program was held for General Secretary, Prof. Dr. Oktay Özgül, whose term has ended.
Rector, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan and Deputy Rector, Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev expressed their gratitude for Prof. Dr. Özgül's valuable contributions to Manas University during his tenure by presenting him with a “Certificate of Appreciation.”
In recognition of his significant role in the university's success over the past four years, Prof. Dr. Özgül was also appointed as the “Advisor to the Rector,” allowing the university to continue benefiting from his extensive knowledge and experience.
In his farewell speech, Prof. Dr. Özgül stated, “During the four years I served, I worked diligently for the development of our university in every area. I approached my responsibilities at Manas University not only with a sense of professional duty but also with a commitment to national service and a sacred mission. I am confident that our esteemed Rector, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan will achieve great success in his new term and continue to advance Manas University. I believe the Manas University family will further enhance its achievements and make us proud with the motto “More Than Just a University.”
