  • 2026-02-27

The “KTMU Village and School Visits” Social Responsibility Project, carried out by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, will be implemented across different regions of Kyrgyzstan during the Spring 2026 semester. In the first phase of the project, visit programs were organized in the villages of Suimonkul Chokmorov, Vorontsovka, and Arashan.

Within the scope of the visits, meetings were held with the participation of students, teachers, and local residents at School named after Suimonkul Chokmorov in Suimonkul Chokmorov village, School named after Bubusara Beishenalieva in Vorontsovka village, and School named after F. A. Strelnikova in Arashan village.

The delegation, led by Chair of the KTMU Sustainable Development Commission Prof. Dr. Kemal Polat, and composed of academicians specializing in veterinary medicine, agriculture, guidance and counseling, attracted significant interest. During the visits, seminars were delivered to students on career planning, choosing a profession, effective time management, and achieving success in school life.

In meetings held with teachers, challenges encountered in the educational process were discussed, and solution-oriented recommendations were shared based on feedback from the field. Additionally, during gatherings with villagers engaged in farming and animal husbandry, the university shared its academic expertise and the latest developments in science, while also providing information on modern agricultural and livestock farming techniques.

Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University’s Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized that universities are not institutions that produce knowledge solely within campus boundaries, but rather structures that bring knowledge to society and contribute to local development. He stated that the “KTMU Village and School Visits” Project is a concrete reflection of this vision. Rector Ceylan noted that supporting students in their career planning, evaluating educational processes together with teachers, and sharing modern agricultural and livestock practices with farmers are regarded as both a social responsibility and an academic duty. He also added that such initiatives, which strengthen university-community integration, are planned to be expanded to broader regions in the coming periods.
