Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) continued its 2026–2027 Academic Year Orientation Program on its second day under the theme “Discover the Opportunities Offered by the Campus.” New students received information about campus life, health and sports facilities, student organizations, career opportunities, security services, and sustainability initiatives at the university.
As part of the program, presentations were delivered by various university departments to help students adapt more easily to university life and make effective use of the opportunities available to them on campus.
Campus Life and Student Opportunities Introduced
Ayday Toktorbekova from the Department of Health, Culture and Sports gave a presentation titled “Campus Life: Where Is What?”, introducing students to the main facilities and services available on campus. The presentation covered meeting rooms, cafeterias, student dormitories, as well as the opportunities provided to students by the Department of Health, Culture and Sports.
Gulfiya Gubaydullina, Acting Head of the Sheit Eren Bulbul Health Center, delivered a presentation titled “My Health and Well-Being,” explaining the healthcare services available at the university. Students were informed about which units they could contact in case of health problems, the responsibilities of the Health Center, its available equipment and facilities, and the healthcare team.
Starting the Career Journey at University
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seil Nazhimudinova from the Career Office delivered a presentation titled “From Today to the Future: How Can I Build My Career?” and emphasized the importance of starting career planning during university years.
The presentation addressed not only courses and academic programs but also internships, graduation projects, and the factors employers consider after graduation. Students were also informed about developing technical and social skills, scholarship opportunities, and employment opportunities at Manas University.
Sports, Student Organizations, and a Safe Campus
Prof. Dr. Fikret Soyer, a faculty member of the Faculty of Sport Sciences, introduced the university’s sports and recreational facilities in his presentation titled “Sports and Recreation Opportunities at Manas.” The presentation highlighted the importance of physical activity and the impact of healthy and unhealthy habits on people’s lives.
Aymeri Abdykadyrova, President of the Student Council, gave a presentation titled “Your Voice Matters: Student Representation, Clubs and Organizations,” providing information about the Student Council, student organizations, and campus activities. Students were encouraged to participate in social and cultural activities alongside their academic studies and become active members of university life.
In the presentation “Safe Campus: What Should I Do in an Emergency?”, delivered by Abdykapar Estebesov, Head of the KTMU Security Department, students received information about campus regulations, security, precautions to be taken in dangerous situations, and the units they can contact in emergencies.
Building a Sustainable Campus with “Green Manas”
Assist. Prof. Dr. Kubat Kemelov from the Faculty of Engineering addressed environmental awareness and sustainable living in his presentation titled “Green Manas: Environment and Sustainability.”
Students were informed about proper waste management, responsible use of electricity, campus cleanliness, and environmental culture. The importance of climate change awareness and sustainable development was also emphasized.
Through the presentations held on the second day of the Orientation Program, students were introduced to the opportunities offered by the university not only in terms of academic development but also in the areas of social, physical, professional, and personal development.
The Orientation Program will continue on its third day under the theme “As a University Student, I Manage My Own Life.”
