During the event, the organizers provided comprehensive information on the types of projects and implementation processes of Erasmus+, the European Union’s program covering education, youth, and sports.

“Active Participation in International Cooperation is Important”

In his opening speech, KTMU Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev emphasized the importance of higher education institutions actively engaging in international projects and collaborations. Prof. Dr. Ibraev stated: “Erasmus+ projects offer universities strategic responsibilities and international opportunities. We must take an active part in global developments and make the best use of the program’s potential. Our first project addresses fields that are gaining importance both internationally and in Kyrgyzstan. We plan to integrate the outcomes that will help our students gain essential competencies into the curriculum. Moreover, issues such as the protection of Issyk-Kul, ecology, and climate change are important areas in which our university can assume responsibility.”

He concluded his remarks by thanking the National Erasmus+ Office in Kyrgyzstan and noted that scientific and international projects will become even more significant in the coming period.
